Great 4.0
Laugh-out-loud raunchy humor, Jennifer Aniston in sexual overdrive, and a story that kept moving at a refreshing pace made Horrible Bosses a very enjoyable comedic release after a crappy day at work.
Made in the same hard comedic edge as The Hangover, this movie tells the story of three guys who each have a boss that is unbearable. Often times politically incorrect, and featuring many roles that are over-the top caricatures, the movie stays just inside the fine line between outrageously funny and offensive.
It’s been said that humor is found in being able to relate to events or people that make us feel uncomfortable, and that was clearly evident in this film as many can relate to the acidic personalities and obnoxious traits of the bosses in the film. Being able to laugh at the characters, and think of people you know who fit that mold as a boss was enjoyable. Heck, at my age, I’ve seen many of those traits in bosses current and past.
Although I would never condone killing a boss, I did find the concept amusing, and the movie enjoyable.
